Lynette Harries and Graham Crimp named in Queen's Birthday Honours list
Lynette Harries and Graham Crimp
have been named in the 2013 Queen's birthday honours list and have both been made Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
has been made an MBE for his
services to grass-root sport in Wales.
has been heavily involved in cricket and Welsh sport in general for many years.
He was treasurer of the Welsh Cricket Association for 25 years, and chair of the Association for three years, and is currently treasurer and chair of the Welsh Minor Counties Cricket board.
He is also a past chairman of the Welsh Hockey Umpires Association.
At a local level Graham was secretary of his local cricket club for 50 years, and is currently its president.
He was also chairman and president of the Penarth Athletics Club and captain of the Glamorganshire Golf Club.
He is also a past member of the Sports Council for Wales, and was for many years treasurer of the Welsh Sports Association serving on its Executive Committee and Board.
Lynette and Graham, and the other Welsh recipients named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list, were commended by David Jones, the Secretary of State for Wales, who said: "Each and every one of them has been selected for their dedication, commitment and tireless work."
