Grace Kelly McGovern
is passionate when it comes to family and community. An educator and mother of four, Grace
is familiar with the juggling act so many of us must perform each day."I love it here.I love our schools and the people who live in this community.I am concerned, however, about the rising cost of living in our area.I would like my children to be able to live in the area where they've grown up," says Grace
No stranger to hard work, Grace

Grace's husband, Frank, is the Information Technology Director at Independent Group Home Living, a non-profit organization.
In 2004, Grace
jumped into the political arena running for Smithtown Town Council
, but she
is convinced that the work she
wants to accomplish is best done in the New York State Assembly."Assemblyman Fitzpatrick is demanding to cut back funds to 'special interest groups.' Does he
mean senior citizens, the disabled, working families, battered women, public schools, public health programs?Certainly, we do not benefit from having an assemblyman who does not stand up for our interests."
supports fair pay for employees regardless of sex, race or national origin.Unlike her
supports state funding of the cleanup of Kings Park Psychiatric Facility.Unlike her
supports protecting our wetlands, funding stem cell research, Timothy's Law, and regulation of LIPA increases.Grace
proposes alleviating property taxes by revamping the way the state collects personal income taxes, thereby gaining revenue and allowing the burden of state expenses to be shared more equitably.Grace
is convinced that it is time for a change for the 7th Assembly district.A Democratic majority controls the NYS Assembly. The incumbent laments that he
is unable to be an effective voice for the community; therefore he
is unable to return resources to out community.Grace Kelly McGovern
will be that strong voice we need in Albany.Vote Kelly McGovern on November 7.
