Grace A. LapicGrace A. Lapic, 68, formerly of St. Peter and Mankato, died Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Wabasso Health Care Center in Wabasso, Mn.Memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, with Rev. Clarence Vavra officiating.There will be no visitation.Arrangements are with the St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel in St. Peter.Grace Lapic was born January 4, 1934 in New Prague to Frank and Mary (Ziska) Lapic.The family moved to Luverne where she attended school.She was a 1952 graduate of Luverne High School, where she was active in cheerleading, journalism and music.Grace became a telephone operator, working in Luverne, Redwood Falls, St. Peter, Minneapolis and Rochester.While working in Minneapolis she was recognized as "Miss Voice" for her communications skills and warmth in her work.She retired after working in Rochester and moved to Mankato, where she resided until 1999.She is survived by two sisters, Dolores Reisdorfer of Marshall and Irene (Leonard) Hansen of St. Peter; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Robert Reisdorfer; and a niece, Leah Hansen.
