Individuals and their performances show the world the attributes of the sport, explains Glenn Sapir, the National Shooting Sports Foundation director of editorial services.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation has modernised its delivery of The Range Report and added a website for its readers, says Glenn Sapir, its editorial services director.
Director, Editorial Services firstname.lastname@example.org Glenn brings a 40-year award-studded career as an outdoor communicator to his position as editor and/or writer of the Range Report, the NSSF Annual Review and many of NSSF's electronic newsletters. A practical education as an editor of Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, New York Sportsman and, for 18 years, Field & Stream magazine, and active roles in professional outdoor communicator associations, including the presidency of the Outdoor Writers Association of America and the New York Metropolitan Outdoor Press Association, have intimately familiarized Glenn with not only the craft of communicating but also hundreds, if not thousands, of the members of the media who write about firearms, hunting and the shooting sports.

Glenn Sapir, of Putnam Valley, N.Y., received OWAA's 2013 Excellence in Craft Award. The award honors an OWAA member "for outstanding effort in upholding the OWAA Creed and continued excellence in craft." An OWAA member since 1975, Sapir is director of editorial services for the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a post he has held for the past 10 years. He directs, edits and writes articles on a regular basis for trade, association and consumer magazines, and he writes and edits NSSF's monthly electronic Member News and The Range Report, as well as its quarterly First Shot News and its Annual Review. Sapir previously worked in editor positions for Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, and Field and Stream. When he joined the staff at Field and Stream, Sapir was one of only three to have served as editor on all the famous "Big Three.
Glenn Sapir, who worked for NSSF for more than a decade, will be presenting "Publicizing Your Firearms Business" as part of the Veteran Retailer educational track.
In the video, NSSF Director of Editorial Services Glenn Sapir asks fellow hunters to consider making a donation of game meat this fall if they have the good fortune to tag a deer or other game animal.
"I believe that what a person gives is returned many times over," said Sapir. "If you have a successful hunting season," said Sapir, "donating venison is a way to make it an even better and more meaningful one."
