The really good news is that the judge is Glenn Moody. He is a wonderful choice, especially for the first show of the season. He is well-known and -liked in the area, understands the rideability or difficulty of a course, he is a course designer, and he is a trainer and teacher of hunter riding.
For about 20 years Moody was the head trainer at The Barracks in Charlottesville. There, he trained many horses and riders to the top, winning national and regional awards in the USEF and VHSA.
A few years ago, he became director of the riding program at Foxcroft School in Middleburg, where he teaches students in several disciplines of riding while training the horses as well.
