Glenn Crocker Glenn has been CEO of BioCity since mid-2003, joining the business shortly after it was founded. He has a DPhil in Immunology from Oxford University and qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young. At BioCity, Glenn has grown a thriving life science incubation business on the back of a strong commitment to building successful life science companies. BioCity now creates and develops life science start-ups, invests in the companies it knows well and provides them with the ideal environment for success at one of four sites across the UK. Glenn led the expansion of BioCity from its Nottingham city centre base into facilities in Scotland, Manchester and the Boots campus. In 2014, Glenn was awarded an MBE for services to the biotechnology industry. He also founded the Mobius Life Sciences Fund, R5 Pharmaceuticals in Nottingham, subsequently sold to Aesica, and BioAscent in Scotland and is a non-executive Director of a number of other life science businesses including Xenogesis and BioImages Group. CEO Glenn has a first degree in Genetics and a D Phil in Immunology. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and worked in the life science practice for a number of years, advising a range of businesses as well as editing and co-authoring a number of the firm's US, European and Global Life Science Reports. He became CEO of BioCity Nottingham in 2003, growing it to be one of the largest bioscience incubators in Europe. He was a founder of R5 Pharmaceuticals, which was subsequently sold to Aesica, and he is a non-executive director of a number of other companies including Mobius Life Sciences, Xenogesis and Medilink East Midlands.
