"It's so important to celebrate those who have served and still serve our country as we live in the best place in the world," Glenn Carano, General Manager of the Eldorado and Silver Legacy said. "It's because of our armed forces that we stand protected and are able to do so." Reno is home to a one-of-a-kind, 363,000-square-foot, ten-pin bowling stadium which houses national, mainstage bowling tournaments every year. The National Bowling Stadium is located just across the street from the host hotels. Late last year, Carano visited Washington DC to accept a position as Board Member for Brightening Veterans' Lives (BVL), which calls on the entire bowling industry to help and support Veterans. During his visit, he stopped by Arlington Cemetery to pay his respects to fallen soldiers and was so moved by the experience that he encouraged the Biggest Little City to come up with a way to celebrate those who protect our country. "My time in DC was incredibly powerful," Carano said.
