O'Mary said several large companies are especially in need of welders including Force Corporation, Jacobs and Turner Industries. "Rig welders especially are being sought after in an expanding market. CMEF Training Contributor Partners hire new welders on a regular basis. The current job market offers an increasing number of employment opportunities and a greater earning potential," O'Mary said.

Glen O'Mary Director of Education, Construction & Maintenance Education Foundation HOUSTON - Construction & Maintenance Education Foundation (CMEF), the training affiliate of Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston, recently named Glen O'Mary as the new director of education. O'Mary will be responsible for the daily operations of CMEF and work with its board of directors to increase owner, contractor and student participation in its award winning NCCER Craft Training, Assessments, Performance Verification and other continuing education programs for the construction community. O'Mary has worked with NCCER as a subject matter expert and also worked with Zachry Industrial in a number of capacities including craft development manager, senior compensation analyst and compensation manager.
