SoRaspy: Shepard Fairey x Glen E. Friedman "R.I.P MCA" New Billboard In Los Angeles
Yesterday, the first "R.I.P MCA" memorial billboard went up in Los Angeles as a result from a collaboration between Shepard Fairey and Glen E. Friedman. Adam Nathaniel Yauch aka MCA was an American rapper, songwriter, film director, and human rights activist. He was best known as a founding member of the Beastie Boys. This new piece can be seen on Sunset Blvd just east of Highland. ↓ Read the rest of this entry...

Street artist (and OBEY founder) Shepard Fairey collaborated with legendary punk and rock photographer Glen E. Friedman on some billboards paying tribute to the late Beastie Boys member Adam "MCA" Yauch.
I'm not a fan of Fairey's art but Friedman's is awesome.

Keep Your Eyes Open: the Fugazi Photographs of Glen E. Friedman is nearly ready for pre-order.
You can go to http://www.fugazibook.com to sign up to be notified as soon as pre-orders will be accepted. If you pre-order through that page, Glen tells me that you'll receive the book about a month before it hits the general public (hopefully by the beginning of August). Long time Fugazi photographer Glen E. Friedman is set to release a compilation of his best Fugazi photographs. Photos at top of page by Glen E. Friedman, used with permission.
