BACK TO GINNY LISKOW PAGE >A native of Philadelphia, Ginny had lived in Sierra Madre since 1981 when she moved here from Alaska.She has been involved in civic activities for many years and in 1985 was named "Citizen of the Year" for her leadership of the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association to a major award (the Princess Trophy) for the float of that year. Over a number of years Ginny held a series of positions with ARCO.Her last assignment before she left the company in 1996 was that of Director of Community Affairs, a position in which she frequently worked with such world leaders as Lady Margaret Thatcher, President Jimmy Carter and General Colin Powell, among others. After leaving ARCO Ginny embarked on her new career in watercolor painting.Ginny,s triaging includes classes and workshops with John trees of Pasadena City College, Joseph Stoddard at Creative Arts Group as well as Brenda Swenson, Tom Lynch and Robert Burridge, all nationally recognized artists. Ginny is a member of the Mid Valley Arts League and the San Gabriel Fine Arts Association.She has received awards in numerous local and regional art shows.Her paintings are available at the Creative Art Gallery in Sierra Madre and Segil Fine Art Gallery in Monrovia.
