LAS VEGAS, Oct 21, 2008 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- City National Bank today announced that it has hired Gina Gentleman, a very seasoned banking professional, as vice president and relationship manager in its Private Client Services group in Las Vegas.
Gentleman, who joins City National with more than 17 years of banking experience, will be located at the bank's regional facility in Summerlin at 10801 W. Charleston Blvd., near the I-215. She will report to Bob Glaser, senior vice president and Nevada manager of City National's Private Client Services Division. Prior to joining City National, Gentleman worked for Silver State Bank as vice president and commercial lending director of its Women's Business Group. She has also worked for Wells Fargo Bank and its predecessor, First Security Bank, as assistant vice president and account relationship manager, and First Interstate Bank as a branch manager. Gentleman began her banking career with First Interstate Bank in 1990 as a management trainee. "Some of the challenges facing other banks in Nevada are certainly providing us with an opportunity to hire qualified individuals like Gina who can help our clients get to the next level," Glaser said. "Gina joins our bank with a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help City National grow and expand its presence in Nevada." Gentleman will be responsible for loan underwriting, relationship and risk management, client retention and business development of affluent and high net-worth individuals. She will also work very closely with the bank's branch relationship managers, business development officers, commercial lenders and wealth management colleagues to help grow the client base of Private Client Services. Gentleman is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and the school's most outstanding student award. She is very active in the community serving as a member or past member of various trade organizations such as the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) of Southern Nevada. Gentleman has also been very involved in a number of charitable groups serving as secretary and treasurer of the Nevada Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, and chairperson of the Nevada Arthritis Walk for 2004 and 2005.
