Giles Paxman has been the British Ambassador to Mexico since September 2005.
Before his appointment he was the Minister and Deputy Head of Mission in Paris.
During his career he has also served as Counsellor, Political and Institutional Affairs at the UK Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels; Counsellor, Economic and Commercial Affairs in Rome; Head of Chancery in Singapore; and worked on Environment, Consumer Affairs and the Internal Market in Brussels.
As the British's
government representative in Mexico his
main concern is to strengthen commercial, political, cultural and bilateral relations between our two countries, notably through programmes like the Strategic Programme Fund, the Sustainable Development Dialogue and the Chevening Scholarships.
