Gil Weiner Joins Cherry, Bekaert & Holland as Managing Director of Compensation and Benefits Solutions Practice

ATLANTA (February 27, 2006) - Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. (CB&H), one of the largest regional accounting and consulting firms headquartered in the Southeast, today announces that Gilbert J. Weiner has joined the Firm as the Managing Director of Compensation and Benefits Solutions.
This announcement comes shortly after the opening of CB&H's
new Midtown Atlanta office last month, which consolidated the Firm's tax, consulting and audit professionals from three smaller metro area locations.
The focus of Weiner's practice with CB&H will be providing human capital and benefits solutions to the Firm's diverse client base, concentrating on the efficient design and maintenance of compensation and benefits programs, golden parachute mitigation planning and compliance, and transaction and integration planning related to human resources, compensation and benefits.
Based out of the Firm's new Midtown Atlanta office, Weiner
will be assisting employers in optimizing their employee, executive and director compensation and benefit arrangements to achieve tax efficiencies; ensure competitive practices; mitigate business, fiscal and tax risk; and improve their potential post-transaction market positions.
An attorney with over twenty years experience in meeting the human capital needs of businesses, Weiner comes to CB&H from KPMG where he was director of their southeast compensation and benefits practice, and served as national co-chairman of their compensation and benefits transaction services group.

, and as the tax and benefits counsel with oversight of international tax, legal and compliance activities for a $35 billion petroleum corporation.
Weiner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern University, and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk Law School.
