VANCOUVER (Monday, March 11th, 2013) - Dr. Gerry Ramogida of Vancouver B.C., a chiropractor with more than a decade of national and international experience serving athletes at the Olympics and in professional sport, is joining Fortius Sport & Health.
Ramogida is the first chiropractor appointed to the Fortius Institute, the integrated team of sport & exercise medicine practitioners based at the Fortius Athlete Development Centre in Burnaby, B.C.
He joins the project after recently working in the United Kingdom with the British Athletics team as Performance Therapist in the lead up to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
was part of the UK Athletics team that earned six medals at London 2012, including four golds.
In addition to his engagement with UK Athletics, Dr. Ramogida spent the last decade working as a consultant with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League and has supported dozens of high-profile professional and Olympic athletes during his career.

Ramogida, a strong proponent of active release therapy (ART), holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and graduated summa cum laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.
