Lions NSW-ACT has announced that Gerringong's
Anna Kunz will represent NSW and ACT this year in their National "Youth of the Year" Quest.

will have the privilege of hosting the finalists in Gerringong
has also won a trip to the Lions
National Convention to compete for the title of Lions "Youth of the Year" National Champion.
...The early rounds saw the favoured crews in the current State and National title-holders Manly and previous champions South Maroubra and Merewether progress through to go head to head with Gerringong in the final. In a moderate but consistent surf, the experienced Manly team took an early lead with Gerringong and South Maroubra in close pursuit.
On the home run all three teams cracked the same wave with Gerringong
getting the upper hand in the final stages to come in with a win and the title.
The team has been together for four years and in that time have won two silver and one bronze medal at previous carnivals.

Anna, a resident of Gerringong
and a student at Illawarra Grammar School
will now go on to represent Gerringong
in the District Section to be held at the Kiama Leagues Club
on February 27th.
