Georgia Lehman, director of emergency services with the American Red Cross, Keystone Chapter, said volunteers visit fire scenes when requested by a fire chief.
"We have a lot of dedicated volunteers," she
"That's why we're able to do that."
said the Red Cross helps with food, clothing and other essential items.
"When they have no family or friends, we'll lodge them in a local motel," she
"It they have life-sustaining medication, we can replace (that) for a few weeks."
said money given to fire victims comes from donations to the American Red Cross
said they cannot accept money or items for a specific family.
"That sometimes comes from the fire company, neighbors and friends," she
"If an individual should wish to support a specific family with that, they should contact the family or the community to see if they are setting up that kind of drive.
We are not responsible for that type of thing."
The organization is always looking for donations and volunteers, Lehman
