RoachGeorge Capron Roach of Bellevue died Aug. 1 , 2001 , at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.He was 82.Mr. Roach was born Aug. 6 , 1918 , in Cleveland.He was a 1936 graduate of a Cleveland high school.In 1938 he received a degree from Wilcox College in Cleveland.On July 10 , 1942 , he married Mary E. Roach in Seattle.He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during World War II.After the war , he worked as an accountant for A.R. Smith and Co..He retired in 1987.He enjoyed building model sailing ships , woodworking , playing tennis , crosscountry skiing , boating and cycling.In addition to his wife , survivors include his son , George C. Roach Jr. ; his daughter , Margaret R. Reed ; brother Robert Roach of Cleveland ; sisters Betty Saxby of Tulsa , Okla. , and Dorothy Dorman of Tacoma ; and one grandchild.No service will be held.Remembrances may be made to PAWS , 15305 44th Ave. W. , Lynnwood , WA 98046 ; or the Humane Society of King County , 13212 S.E. Eastgate Way , Bellevue , WA 98005.Bleitz of Bellevue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
