Dell Compellent Customer Story: Radiology Ltd. keeps IT operations healthy with help from Dell Fluid Data storage architecture

www.compellent.com [cached]

"We add approximately 45,000 new multi-image radiologic studies per month, which equates to more than one million separate images," says George Kemmerling, server systems administrator at Radiology Ltd.
"We need a platform that will let us expand storage easily and affordably so we can give doctors access to all the patient images they need." Providing rapid access to those images is critical. "If a patient is on the examining table with a broken leg or an aneurism, doctors might need to pull up a 20MB multi-image study through the PACS within seconds," says Kemmerling. "To provide the best care, doctors need to compare current patient images with older images, sometimes taken more than a decade earlier," says Kemmerling.
