George Kelakos has over 28 years of experience in the insolvency field as an attorney and adviser.
He served as a chapter 11 Trustee in a case in the Southern District of New York in which the principal assets were joint venture interests in PRC companies that own and operate large copper and steel facilities in Shandong Province, PRC.
George was a Founding Partner of Cohn & Kelakos LLP, a Boston-based business bankruptcy and reorganization "boutique" firm and subsequently was Of Counsel to Salans, LLP, an international law firm as a member of the Restructuring, Reorganization and Insolvency Practice Group and Of Counsel to Heller Ehrman, LLP, as a member of the Bankruptcy, Corporate Finance and International practice groups.
George currently practices bankruptcy law as a Partner of FSB Fisher Broyles, where he concentrates his efforts on cross-border matters, and Of Counsel to Salans, with a particular emphasis on Asia.
