George has been responsible for the management of over $1 billion in project value in his twenty-five year career as a professional engineer. George has worked on projects ranging from a few thousand to over $100 million. Early in his career he worked as a project engineer for the Iowa Natural Resources Council, the Iowa Department of Transportation, and the City of Westminster, CO. George quickly moved to leadership positions serving as the City Engineer for West Des Moines, Iowa, Director for Business and Finance for the Iowa Board of Regents and Director of Design and Construction Services and Business Manager for the University of Iowa. George holds bachelor degrees in engineering (Iowa State University) as well as a masters degree in organizational leadership (St. Ambrose University). He is a licensed civil engineer and is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
