Dr. Gillson began his training with a PhD in Chemistry (Atomic Analytical Spectroscopy) from the University of Alberta and then earned an MD from the University of Calgary.
practiced Family Medicine for 6 years (Northern Ontario and Oregon ) before moving to the Tahoma Clinic in Kent , Washington . At the Tahoma Clinic, Dr. Gillson
worked alongside Jonathan Wright MD, one of the pioneers of the nutritional biochemical approach to chronic illness and disease prevention, and developed a special interest in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.
Dr. Gillson was also a consultant for several laboratories in the Pacific Northwest , in the field of steroid hormone analysis.
has experienced the challenges of clinical practice firsthand, understands the role of the laboratory in the practice of medicine, and has solid expertise in the nutritional/natural approach to medicine at both the benchtop and theoretical levels.
