He also received an M.A. degree in Mass Communication from Emerson College, Boston in 1987. He began his TV career in 1982 with an internship at WWHT Newark Channel 68, where he worked on the production staff of "The Uncle Floyd Show.

George Falkowski, sports reporter for News 12 New Jersey, reminded me of what we were thinking about Lou Lamoriello's club last October.
"We all expected the Rangers to make the playoffs," Falkowski explained, "but we felt that the Devils would be just plain lucky to sneak into eighth place. "Getting to the final round was a dream come true," Falkowski concluded.

The Scotch Plains native has earned three Emmy Awards and one Edward R. Murrow regional award for his sports coverage.He currently resides in Phillipsburg, N.J.

GEORGE FALKOWSKI, sports reporter/book illustrator[e-mail: falkowskig@msn.com] George Falkowski spent his entire youth gearing up for a career in the art field, but he failed basic drawing as a freshman at Kean College in Union, NJ.George changed career paths and moved to sports television, where he has spent the last 20 years.He has enjoyed success in his current job as a sportscaster for News 12 New Jersey, where he has won three NY Emmys.George continues to doodle on the side, designing greetings cards and illustrating several books, just for fun, and to prove his college art teacher was a bad judge of character and talent.He also earned Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Emerson College in Boston.
