George E. Bishop
is a well-known and highly regarded Canadian academic and businessman.
Mr. Bishop became a Chartered Accountant in 1971 and returned to his alma mater to become a lecturer at the Fred C. Manning School of Business, Acadia University in 1975.
While continuing his academic career, Mr. Bishop joined the Jodrey Group of Companies in 1976.
As president and director of Scotia Investments Limited Mr. Bishop has effectively managed its growing corporate interests.
Mr. Bishop is Chairman, Board of Governors of Acadia University, is governor of Junior Achievment Nova Scotia, a past Chair and former trustee of Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital, a past director of Nova Scotia Association of Health Organizations in addition to serving on other volunteer boards and organizations.
Mr. Bishop is a Governor and past Chairman, Board of Governors of Acadia University.
is a recipient of the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award and recently was made a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants
Mr. Bishop is also a Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Heritage Gas, and Director of Armour Transportations Systems Inc.
Mr. Bishop earned his Bachelor Of Commerce, Acadia University in 1965 and was awarded his Chartered Accountant Designation with Touche Ross and Co. in 1971.
