Call to Order by Gene Wachtel at 10:30 A.M. Roll Call : Present were President Gene Wachtel: Past-President, James Sullivan; President-Elect, Lew Keliher; Secretary, Mike Criner; Treasurer, Jim Nelson; TSA Executive Director, Ross Short; Tech Link Editor and WA-ACTE rep, Bruce McBurney; and guests, Kevin Graham from Cascade High Scholl and Jarrod Merrick from Prosser High School.
Awards: Gene Wachtel passed around the letters of recommendation for award nominees. Voting ensued and the award recipients were chosen. College Report: Scott Calahan sent his report to Gene Wachtel, who read it to the board.
New Business: Gene Wachtel mentioned that we need a form for the Robert Raudebaugh $500 grant for the teacher essay at Spring Conference.
a). The essay is to answer the question, "What will I do or need in my classroom for an extra $500? Consensus was that the award should be based on innovation, student motivation and inspiration. The winner also needs to send documentation of grant expenditure. b). We also need a new form for award nominees with the criteria explained. Mike Criner said he would prepare the forms based on ITEA's criteria and send them to Gene Wachtel for approval/corrections.
Adjournment: Gene Wachtel adjourned the meeting at 11:25 A.M.
