Gavin Haan
Gavin Haan, owner of Shoreline Entertainment and a server at Whitlow's Forerunner Restaurant, has three children in the school district. He has volunteered and coached track, football and baseball. Haan said he's running for the school board because he feels he can best represent parents with insight into the community's frustrations about education. If elected, Haan said he will work to shrink budgets while improving education quality. "I will ensure that we look at every expenditure with a critical eye - and make sure that when we institute new programs, that we weigh it by what it will do for our students," he said.
