GARY L. WEIL

Gary Weil, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, RE/MAX International, Inc., joined the organization in 1985 as the first full-time legal counsel.
He was named Vice President in 1996.
is responsible for state and federal franchise regulatory compliance, supervision of trademark and copyright matters, development of legal strategy for international expansion and supervision and management of litigation and outside counsel in the United States and internationally.
also provides legal guidance to senior management in all aspects of business operations, including franchisor-franchisee relationships, contract negotiations and general corporate matters.
Weil earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Order of the Curia, in 1977 from Capital University Law School, Columbus, Ohio following his 1973 undergraduate Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Psychology degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
was admitted to the bar of both the Colorado Supreme Court
and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, 10th Judicial District in 1978.
From 1978 to 1982 he
was in private practice with two Denver-area law firms, with emphasis on real estate and general corporate matters.
He was Regional Corporate Counsel for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Company in Englewood, Colo. from 1982 to 1985.
As a member of the American Bar Association, Weil is active in the Franchising and Real Property Law Sections.
He is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association (Real Estate Law Section and Business Law Section), the Denver Bar Association and the American Corporate Counsel Association.
