That's the message Dr. Gary Valiere left with the graduating class at Valley City State University Saturday. Valiere, a 1955 VCSU graduate, is President of Astro Vista, Inc., a Nevada corporation.He said today's graduates are better equipped and better educated than anyone to face future challenges. "You are very fortunate to have selected VCSU for your education," said Valiere, who earned an M.B.A. from California State University and a Ph.D. from United States International University."The alumni from here far excel most others." Valiere said the number one national challenge for graduates is the protection of America's culture and the individual freedoms connected to that culture.He said education must be the process for cultural protection. "Ignorance begets fear and frustration," Valiere said."Education brings about understanding and fulfillment.It is your sacred honor to make an effort to make a difference." Bachelor's degrees were conferred upon about 200 graduates.
