Gary McClenaghan of Washington State Elected NLBA President
Alexandria, VA, January 24, 2001 – Hundreds of licensed beverage retailers from across the country gathered in Las Vegas for the 51st Annual NLBA Convention.During this event, members of the National Licensed Beverage Association
elected a new slate of officers for 2001. NLBA is pleased to announce the election of Gary McClenaghan, owner of Bill's Place in Yakima, Washington, as its new president.As president of the National Licensed Beverage Association, McClenaghan is responsible for maintaining the overall strength and integrity of the Association.
will oversee NLBA's membership programs, government affairs initiatives and industry issues.McClenaghan
will also represent the Association to the press, the public, members of Congress and industry organizations. McClenaghan
has been an extremely active NLBA board member since 1980 and has been in the licensed beverage retail business since 1973.He has also served as president of the Washington State Licensed Beverage Association.McClenaghan said, "It is a great honor to have been elected president of this outstanding organization.
