At a recent meeting of the Southwest Oklahoma Intertribal Health Board, five of seven members voted to fire Lawton Indian Hospital Administrator Gary Davis and two senior supervisors.
The Apache, Caddo, Comanche, Delaware, Fort Sill Apache, Kiowa and Wichita tribes cited an unknown but confirmed debt at the hospital.

LAWTON -- Forty-seven days have passed since seven southwest Oklahoma tribes passed a joint resolution to fire Lawton Indian Hospital Administrator Gary Davis and his top two supervisors.
Five of seven Southwest Oklahoma Intertribal Health Board members voted to oust Davis, health administrator Fred Koebrick and Anadarko clinic administrator Bob Pipe over the hospital's current "deficit crisis."
Tribal leaders suspect the hospital is millions of dollars in debt, but claim they can't get enough financial records from Davis or Grim to fully address the situation.
Barse did confirm that Davis, Koebrick and Pipe remained in their administrative positions.
