Fred is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard where he spent 27 years as an officer.He served in a variety of assignments around the country and overseas.Fred commanded the Coast Guard forces in Operation Desert Storm as well as being Afloat Commander for Coast Guard Flotillas off the coast of Haiti and Cuba.Additionally, he commanded two Coast Guard Cutters during his 7 years of sea duty.While ashore, Fred commanded the Coast Guard's Information Systems Center and one of the Coast Guard's Communication Stations.His services culminated with 3 years in Miami as the head of the Coast Guard's Law Enforcement effort in the Caribbean and a final year in Governor's Island New York as Chief of Operations for the Coast Guard Atlantic Area.It was in this job that Fred coordinated all law enforcement and rescue operation on the East Coast of the United States.After being selected for Atlantic Area Chief of Staff, Fred decided to move into the business world and spent six very successful years in the marine and land transportation industry.
Fred has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a Masters Degree in Information Systems from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, a Masters Degree in International Relations from Salve Regina College, and a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
