According to Sadiki, the SABC´s Adopt a School project is an SABC Education initiative to help improve the Grade 12 year-end results. "The formal education and outreach units of SABC Education identify low-performing schools and analyze the reasons contributing to the poor performance. He added that the adopted schools had been equipped with the technological capacity that gives learners access to content provided by SABC Education and other programmes to help pupils obtain good results at the end of Grade 12. He further outlined that the emphasis will be on mathematics, science, biology and English.
