he has appointed
Freddie Black of Lake Village to the
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Black, 46, grew up on the banks of Lake Chicot, the state's largest natural lake.

Black is the board chairman for the Arkansas Nature Conservancy.He also is a member of the board of directors of Simmons First Bank of South Arkansas, the Lake Village Economic Development Commission, the Chicot County Rural Development Authority, the University of Arkansas at Monticello Foundation and the University of Arkansas Foundation.He‚s a former president of the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce, a former president of the
Lake Village Housing Authority, a former president of the
Dermott Rotary Club and a former president of the
Our Lady of the Lake Parish Council.
Black is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Island 82 Hunting Club and the Woodstock Island Hunting and Fishing Club.He hunts deer, quail, dove, duck and turkey.
He also enjoys bass and crappie fishing.
