A former agent, production executive and industry consultant, Fred Milstein, echoed Mr. Frater's view that pan Asian co-production, which has already happened in recent years, would continue to grow as risks can be shared between studios.Mr. Milstein, president and chief executive officer of Cinefinance from the US, said: "We are going to see more and more Asian films that involve pan Asian sources of financing.
This is because to grow the Asian film business into a more international market, we have to explore other sources of capital and to do that we need to explore other financing arrangements."He
said many western films including those in Europe involved a combination of equities, bank financing and local subsidies.
