He has received numerous awards and recognition on community issues and has been recognized by the Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce for his work with women owned businesses.
He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, and began his advanced coursework at Johns Hopkins University and completed his Masters at Webster University in St Louis.
He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth and has completed additional coursework with the US Army War College and National Defense University.
