Lake Villa Mayor Frank Loffredo said the Lehmann Mansion “is a huge piece of Lake Villa’s history and the area’s history,� even prompting the railroad’s decision to expand to the village, which stimulated commerce and construction.
Preserving the mansion for the community to enjoy was important to the village, Loffredo said. “We’ve partnered with other organizations and communities to expand our offerings and are very pleased with the results,� he said. “Movies, concerts and more painting and cooking classes are just the beginning. We are working on dinner theater, wine walks, craft beer gatherings and much, much more.�
