Outside of the responsibilities of managing his store, Beer has served as the chair of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee and as a member of the Chamber board of directors.
He currently sits on the board of directors for RSVP of the Flint Hills, a United Way agency, and Leadership Manhattan.
