Franciska Safran is a Reference Librarian at Reed Library, College at Fredonia.In addition, she is the Curator of the Stefan Zweig Collection which consists of over 8,000 multilingual manuscript correspondence and books by and about Zweig in several languages.Franciska is also the Curator of the Holland Land Company Records.This collection holds about a 100 manuscript land ledgers of Western New York and about 400 reels of microfilm pertaining to the activities of the Holland Land Company in the United States in the early 1800s.During the 1980s she was responsible for the locating, assessing and reformating many of these early historical documents in the United States and in The Netherlands.
