Francis V. Guertin, 82Hyannis - Francis V. (Varin) Guertin, 82, a resident of Hyannis, died Aug. 15, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.She was the wife of the late Valmore Guertin, former owner of Guertin Brothers Jewelers.Born in Adams, Mrs. Guertin moved to the Cape in 1946.She was a resident of Whitehall Estates Assisted Living in Hyannis for the past three years.She was an active member of the Rosary Group and volunteer in their country store.Mrs. Guertin was a former Camp Fire Girl leader, guild member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Women's Guild of Our Lady of Victory Church.She enjoyed Cape Cod Adventurers Club and was a former member of the Cummaquid Golf Club, Hyannis Yacht Club and the Wequaquet Lake Yacht Club.She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, and arts and crafts.She also enjoyed traveling, the Boston Red Sox, and her family most of all.
