assumed the General Manager position at this 5000-acre semi-private upscale resort community in January 1997.He
immediately implemented strict cost controls and established new fees for amenity usage and community dues.He
totally reorganized the accounting department and directed the installation of new Y2K compliant systems.Floyd
also developed and successfully completed over three million dollars worth of capital improvement programs to upgrade and expand all country club and resort amenities (27 hole golf club, tennis club, Olympic size swimming pool, championship lawn bowling greens, two food and beverage facilities, trout fishing, children's day camp and a new, year-round activities center). His career began at the Waumbek Inn and Country Club in Jefferson, New Hampshire where he was Executive Assistant General Manager.He later became General Manager from 1972-1974. In 1974, Hunter
joined the prestigious Mountainview House located in Whitefield, New Hampshire where he
held the office of Business and Operations Manager.He
was totally responsible for the complete physical operation of this 400-acre award winning property.
In 1977, Hunter
moved on to the Assistant General Manager position of Diamond Red Jacket Mountain View Motor Inn in North Conway.New Hampshire.He assisted the General Manager in all aspects of managing and operating the property.
Before starting Hunter Associates
, Floyd was Manager of the Governor Motor Inns
located in Plymouth, Massachusetts.He
simultaneously acted as the manager of the 94-room Governor Carver Motor Inn.Here, Hunter
gained the experience in multiple property management.Prior to joining Buck Hill Falls in 1997, Floyd was President of Hunter Associates, a management and marketing consultant company to the hospitality, travel and tourism industries.Hunter Associates was registered and certified by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) as a primary hospitality consulting and management company.Hunter is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and attended Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticut where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree.
