Fletcher T. Newton is the Principal of New World Consulting, LLC, a Colorado-based limited liability corporation that provides consulting services to the nuclear energy industry, with particular focus and emphasis on nuclear fuel.
Mr. Newton has over 25 years of experience working in the nuclear fuel industry.
prior employment has included marketing and trading all forms of commercial nuclear fuel, analysis of nuclear global and regional nuclear fuel markets, and investor relations for publicly traded companies involved in uranium production and fuel fabrication.
Mr. Newtonâ€™s particular area of expertise is former Soviet Union, where he has and continued to work with KazAtomProm in Kazakhstan, and Tenex and TVEL in the Russian Federation.

Executive Vice President, Strategic Affairs, Uranium One
Fletcher Newton is the Executive Vice President for Strategic Affairs for Uranium One, Inc. which operates uranium production projects in Kazakhstan, the United States, and Australia, and is 51% owned by ARMZ, a subsidiary of RosAtom (the Russian Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy).
From 1997 until joining Uranium One in January 2007 he was first General Counsel and then President of Power Resources, Inc., Cameco Corporation's U.S. subsidiary, where he oversaw the Smith Ranch-Highland Uranium Project in Wyoming, and the Crow Butte Uranium Project in Nebraska.
Mr. Newton has worked in the nuclear fuel industry for 20 years.
While at Cameco, he helped negotiate and then oversee implementation of the Russian-American "Megatons-to-Megawatts" agreement, working extensively with Techsnabexport and the Russian Ministry of Atomic Energy.
Mr. Newton is a native of Denver, Colorado and received his B.A. degree in 1978 from Harvard University (Magna Cum Laude, Soviet Studies).
He is a graduate of the CIEE Program at the University of Leningrad (1976-1977) and received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1983 after transferring there from Georgetown University.
Mr. Newton is based in Denver, Colorado (USA) but spends approximately one-half his time in Russia and Kazakhstan, working with ARMZ and KazAtomProm.
