Born in 1948 in Long Beach, California, Fleet always had a love for high-performance, and by the age of 17, he was already building cars and racing at "The Pond" (California's legendary San Fernando Drag Strip). Not long after, Fleet traded his slicks for wings and embarked on a seven-year hitch in the Navy Air Corps. Upon return from serving his country, Fleet received a degree in mechanical engineering before starting the long journey through the automotive performance aftermarket. The companies he has worked for comprise a veritable Who's Who of hot rodding and high performance...Cyclone Headers, B&M Racing & Performance, Bill Stroppe & Son, Competition Engineering, and American Accessories. Always the visionary, Fleet's extensive industry and enthusiast experience enabled him to see where the performance aftermarket was heading.
