Felix Rudolf, 1950, Swiss
Felix Rudolf has been our Chief Technical Officer since the creation of Colibrys. His key responsibilities are the alignment of the technology / product roadmaps with the business strategy, the coordination of R&D projects with external research organizations and the development of the IP Portfolio.
Prior to founding Colibrys as a spin-off from CSEM , he had been involved for over 20 years in research and
development of MEMS technologies and devices and in particular of accelerometers in the CSEM Microsystems Division. He started his work as a scientist, gradually evolved to managerial responsibilities and since 1996 has worked in his current role.
Felix Rudolf qualified from ETHZ with a diploma in Physics followed by a PhD in solid state Physics at the University of Neuchâtel.

Mirror arrays can be integrated into products such as small- and large-scale optical switches, OADMs, channel equalizers, and attenuators. These technology platforms offer an integrated design and processing solution for creating high performance components for optical sub-systems.
The next product of the collaboration will be a VOA, with patents pending by Coventor and Colibrys, that integrates optical mirrors, shutters, and fiber aligners. The VOA is designed to provide the lowest cost per channel VOA and uses non-adhesive optical fiber interfaces that increase reliability.
