The main spokesperson for Anis' second marriage is his close ally in the party, Fahri Hamzah, who made 500 tweets explaining Anis' love story with the Hungarian lady.
Interestingly, while Fahri, a deputy secretary-general of the PKS, is a strong supporter and staunch defender of his leader's polygamous marriage, he has openly declared that he will not follow his leader's path. It would be interesting to explain the opposing preferences of Anis and Fahri regarding polygamous marriage. In contrast, in his early 40s, Fahri seems to be a committed monogamist. He has only two children. He is married to a medical doctor who graduated from the University of Indonesia. His wife is now a surgeon specializing in oncology. With only two children, life is much easier for Fahri's wife to advance her medical training and career. After finishing her medical degree, she spent five years studying to be a surgeon and two more years to specialize in oncology. Fahri's first and only wife is a highly educated lady with a very high professional standing. Fahri has openly said that his wife's monthly income as an oncologist is higher than his as a lawmaker. On the other hand, if Fahri Hamzah changes his mind and takes a second wife, his oncologist wife might ask for a divorce and, by default, he would remain a committed monogamist.
Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) deputy secretary general Fahri Hamzah said the Muslim-based party would quit the
"We might become an opposition or take an independent stance," Fahri said Friday. He said that the duo of Yudhoyono-Kalla was ineffective because of constant rifts between them.
Meanwhile, the outspoken PKS deputy secretary general Fahri Hamzah said that the party remains within the coalition and there was no need to respond to marching orders from the Democratic Party.
"We don't need to respond any of those statements. It is the prerogative of the President [to expel the PKS from the coalition]," Fahri told The Jakarta Post.
PKS deputy secretary general Fahri Hamzah said last week that the KPK should have dealt with the Democratic Party first as some of its members had already received bribes that they used to finance the party.
He also said that the move against the PKS has been orchestrated by certain parties.
"We have just collected new evidence proving that the KPK's attempt to seize the cars was not in line with proper procedure," PKS deputy secretary general Fahri Hamzah said.
Fahri was referring to an incident last week when the KPK tried to seize five cars parked outside party headquarters and were obstructed by PKS officials. Fahri has obtained a copy of the KPK's standard operation procedure for assets seizure. "We will take the document when we file the report with the National Police on Monday," he said. Fahri also challenged the KPK to broadcast live the questioning of party chairman Anis Matta on Monday. Fahri said that his party would reject the plan if the proposal was tabled at the House of the Representatives. Although the PKS is a member of the governing coalition, the party has on many occasions opposed government proposals that did not meet its approval. Fahri denied that the weekend meeting also discussed the fate of the agriculture minister.
