BANJUL,January 07 -- An APRC Yai Compin working at the KMC , Mberry Sowe, has strongly denied allegations of undermining Hon Fabakary Tombong Jatta, APRC member for Serrekunda East Constituency's re-election bid.
According to a story carried in the Daily Observer Thursday December 27, 2001, it was alleged that Mberry Sowe bribed Isatou Jarju, an APRC stalwart in a bid to rally support for an independent candidate opposed to the incumbent, Hon Fabakary Tombong Jatta
.In an interview with the Daily Observer , Mberry Sowe denied the allegation, describing it as "baseless and malicious.Since 1994 I have been supporting President Jammeh and the APRC.
My support has never waned and I will always continue to support the APRC and its nominated candidates for the National Assembly elections including Hon Fabakary Tombong Jatta
