By teaching the future physical therapists, Evelyn has furthered the awareness of pelvic floor dysfunction to their patients and referring physicians.
In November 2013, Evelyn will launch her new app, Pelvic Health PT, The Hecht Program for I-Phones and I-Pads which will help people suffering with PFD learn some of Evelyn's tips, self help techniques and over 50 exercises to start on their road to recovery. The app will feature a Symptom Tracker so patients can record all of symptoms, rate each symptom on a scale of 0 to 10 pain / discomfort level. The "Symptom Tracker" can be revisited on a biweekly or monthly basis, where patients rate symptoms and, overtime while starting some of the exercises, improvements can be seen. The app has "Set Reminder" feature so patients remember to do their breath work, downtraining and exercises and is best used when working with a physical therapist trained in PFD, so guidance and monitoring can be achieved.
Prior to her pelvic floor speciality, Evelyn volunteered for 10 years at the NYU TMJ Clinic, working alongside with dentists to help patients return to optimum cervical and jaw function. She regularly reaches out to the community by giving lectures to the dancers with Alvin Ailey Dance Company, to coaches/athletes of some New York sports teams, at health symposiums offered to the general public and she designed a stretching DVD to promote spine flexibility.
Evelyn believes in empowering all patients with knowledge, empathy and excellence and looks forward to helping you attain optimum health.

Pelvic Pain App developed by Evelyn Hecht, PT

...
Dr Evelyn Hecht has been treating patients with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD) longer than there has been a doctorate program at my alma mater. But innovation is not the key to riches. Evelyn saw a need in the marketplace and decided unlike many in our industry not to wait for someone else to do it .
Lately i have consulted with more and more physicians and surgeons on their legacy or exit strategy. Evelyn is no where near the end , matter of fact , she is on the cusp of a new road in healthcare. Apps are a highway of free traffic from possible clients from around the world. Evelyn has just made it easier for the vast population to accept her as the expert in the field.
...
Evelyn has made strides and conquered the niche market. Marketing pelvic floor therapy through facebook, through her blog and now through her App is something i would ask all my listeners to take a deeper look at.
