SENIOR ASSOCIATE Evan Graves is degreed in environmental engineering and has experience in mechanical system design, which includes traditional HVAC design and troubleshooting, as well as in surveying buildings for energy auditing, evaluating mechanical and electrical systems, and writing comprehensive reports. He is familiar with historic, commercial, educational, and health care facilities. As EME Group's project manager for a comprehensive energy audit at Fordham University's Lincoln Center, Mr. Graves lead an energy engineer team's evaluation of energy efficiency opportunities at the university's Manhattan campus. As a part of the energy audit, his team conducted a chiller feasibility study evaluation replacement option for a low-pressure steam absorption chiller that dates to the facility's original construction (circa 1950s). The study evaluated the 10-year life cycle of a variety of options including steam, natural gas, or electric chillers to negotiate a discounted district steam rate from the utility. In a project management capacity, Mr. Graves has administered the analysis, site visits, and client presentations for over 100 public schools for an Accelerated Conservation of Energy program. Additionally, he has provided construction administration services and produced the design and construction documents for these projects, acting as the expeditor to the New York City Department of Buildings and Fire Department City of New York.
