Students at Livingston High School have been able to take online college courses at a reduced rate since 2003, and now Livingston's senior citizens may also do so, announced Eunice Grippaldi, assistant superintendent."The district's arrangement with Educere, a company that offers online college courses to high school students, is being expanded so that senior citizens may take advantage of this opportunity as well," she said.Educere is based in Ambler, PA. Grippaldi, along with technology manager Frank Fontana and Jim Daily, president of Educere, introduced the program to a recent meeting of the Old Guard.
"Many people were quite interested," Grippaldi
noted, "to find that they can earn college credits and learn new things, from home with a computer, and with the assistance of a personal learning coach from Educere
to help them with the process."

Eunice Grippaldi will retire from her position of assistant superintendent of curriculum in July, after serving more than 20 years in the Livingston schools.There were three standing ovations given to her at the April 11 Board meeting when the resignation was announced.Colleagues and Board members and members of the audience reminisced about the impact she made on their lives and the mark she has made on the district.Grippaldi served as supervisor of reading and language arts from 1985-1987 and was principal of Riker Hill from 1987-1992, when she was transferred to Collins School, where she served as principal until becoming assistant superintendent in January, 1998.
