Euan Harvey
Euan has an interest in developing robust fishery independent sampling techniques. During his PhD he developed, tested and proved the advantages of using underwater stereo-video technology for sampling the relative abundance and lengths of fish remotely. During his employment at UWA he has further developed this technology which has now been has been incorporated in Diver Operated Videos systems (Stereo DOVs), Baited Remote Underwater Stereo-Video systems (Stereo BRUVs) and into towed stereo-video systems. These systems are commonly being adopted by other agencies.
