Ethan James, Chairman and Executive Director of Global Education Mission, Inc. (GEM), is an alumnus of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) - Class of 1996.He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree at American Inter-Continental University.Since the completion of his undergraduate degree, Ethan has worked primarily in finance and business strategy.By the time he incorporated GEM in February of 2002, Ethan was working as Senior Director of Strategy and Planning at Time Warner's Court TV in Manhattan, NY.His convictions and belief in the purpose and mission of GEM led Ethan to resign his post at Court TV in May of 2002 to pursue GEM's development full time.Ethan chose to launch GEM's activities in the island of Antigua, W.I., where he was born.It's off to an excellent start.

Ethan James, an NJIT graduate student and native of Antigua, organized the book drive through his international non-profit firm, Global Education Mission.James, former senior director of strategy and planning at Court TV, formed this firm to enhance the educational standards in developing countries.
It was the second book drive organized by James
.Last June, the university sent 18 boxes, filled with 1,000 books, to help Antigua and Barbuda.NJIT
also plans to donate used personal computers to modernize the island's schools, only 10% of whose primary schools have computers.The island's library system, moreover, was damaged by a hurricane.
"The only way developing nations can achieve and maintain meaningful sovereignty and stable economies," James
