Chefs Patrick Laguens of Plank and Ernie Post of Café Columbine squared off under the spotlight Saturday night in the third annual Commodities Cook-Off for the Food Bank for Larimer County.
whipped up a soup and sandwich meal using the tomato sauce to make soup and putting the grilled kangaroo medallions on slices of jalapeno cheddar bread he
brought with him.
topped the kangaroo with ranchero sauce and some of the ingredients from the pasta dinner.
also created small bowls using melted parmesan cheese that he
filled with a Caesar salad.
finished off with a chestnut cheesecake he
made using cream cheese, lemon pound cake and pecans he
